Opening of the exhibition Natura Naturata. Masterpieces in the libraries of the University of Ferrara (Chemistry and Biology Library of S. Maria delle Grazie, Ferrara).
The exhibition came out of the joint activity to protect and promote the university's historical and cultural heritage, carried out by lecturers and students from the Degree Course in Industrial Product Design and the Library System.
A precious selection from the Unife ancient library collections was presented for the first time to citizens, academics and visitors, showing the results of ten years of reorganisation, study, cataloguing and restoration interventions.
The distinctive feature of this experience open to the city was how it combined the knowledge and scientific interests preserved in ancient texts, with an innovative educational journey taken by eighty students from the Degree Course in Industrial Product Design, who created the exhibition with the magnificent backdrop of the ex-church of S. Maria delle Grazie, which since 2005 has been the seat of the Chemistry and Biology Library.
