The Centre of documentation and studies on European Union (CDE) of the University of Ferrara, it is a departmental centre which takes part to the EU information net and it is managed by a convention between the University and the European Commission. The CDE net was established in 1963 by the European Commission in order to spread community information and promote the teaching and research in the european integration field.
Since 2017, the library's holdings have been incorporated into the Law Library, with which it shares spaces, services and staff. Apart from Library services, the CDE freely provides to all of those who are interested (single users and schools) information materials produces by the EU (maps, brochures, posters, etc.). - Teaching and educational activity: organisation of conventions, conferences and seminars on European issues and courses on EU databases. - Research activity: publication of the series of monographic studies “New CDE papers” aimed towards deepen Eu politics. - Dissemination activities: organisation of events for the great audience (for example the Europe Fest), also in cooperation with Eurodesk and Antenna Europe Direct of the Municipality of Ferrara, with a memorandum of understanding. - Informative activity: meetings and consultations on internships at the Community Institutions and European Agencies, and on the various working opportunities and mobility offered by the EU. |
