The University of Ferrara organised the Unife Welcome Days to welcome and involve the entire student community in cultural and recreational activities to promote sociality and inclusion. The Library System also took part in the initiative with guided tours as part of the Discover Unife: Palaces and Stories route.
Librarians, with the collaboration of trainees and students, guided visitors to discover the University's historical buildings, libraries and ancient collections.

June 28th - July 19th 2024
The Libraries inside the historical locations of the University of Ferrara open in occasion of the exihibition Other Stories of books and palaces. New gazes at the cultural heritage of Unife. organized by the University's Library System. In addition to the temporary exihibition at the Economics Library - inside the Bevilacqua Constabili Palace, it is possible to visit all of the other University's Libraries and the main location of the Museums' System. Library Staff and Students of the University, will guide the visitor through the discovery of the Palaces and Historical Collections kept in the Libraries. Permanent panels with taxts and historical images, illustrate the three levels of the event: palaces, libraries and historical collections. The event continues the activities of the project Histories of books and palaces: itineraries inside Unife's LIbraries born in the Cultural Heritage European year 2018.
There will be some extraordinary openings to visit all locations, with guided tours by librarians, trainees and Unife students; it is also possible to request an appointment at other times by writing to eventi.sba@unife.it.
The event obtained the patronage of the Municipality of Ferrara and the AIB (Italian Library Association), Emilia-Romagna section. The graphic identity of the exhibition project is by Plam Studio of Ferrara.

On May 28th the University Library System presented to the Organs the new MyBiblioUnife portal which was published and made available to the Academic Community on June 4th.
The portal allows the bibliographical research combined with a single interface and it is organized in four thematic sections:
- Electronic resources: allows the usage of tools for the research and didactics;
- Study services in order to stay updated on the available services in presence and online;
- Research services to answer the needs of professors and academics;
- Discover the University Library System it illustrates the Historical heritage and Special collections, the Cultural Activities aimed towards the conservation and valorization of the University's Cultural Heritage and furthermore.
The use of the portal is simplified by the MyBiblioUnife mobile app and by a video-tutorial that accompanies the user to the discovery of the new portal's functions; bookmarks with images from Unife's Historical Collections spread simply informations on the offered services.

Participation to FACS, Fondo Archivistico Carlo Savonuzzi, kept in the Unife's Architecture Library is renewed at the 14th National Day of the Architecture's Archives 2024 organized by the AAA - Associazione Nazionale Archivi Architettura Contemporanea and focused on the theme: the Architecture and the Arts.
The care for the detail. Carlo Savonuzzi and the applied arts exhibition illustrates Carlo Savonuzzi's modality of planning (1897-1973), chief engineer of the District of Ferrara e freelancer, sensitive to the cure of architectural and decorative details, with a careful gaze to the general guidelines of the project.
The sinergy between the AAA - Associazione Nazionale Archivi Architettura Contemporanea, il FACS - Fondo Archivistico Carlo Savonuzzi and the University's Library System is documented by the inititives made from 2021 and viewable on the Architectural Archives' National Day page on the Virtual Heritage Portal.

2017-
Thanks to the collaboration between the University Library System and the 'Association for social and cultural promotion ilturco' started in 2017, during the realisation of the Stories of books and palaces: itineraries inside Unife's Libraries, information sheets were drawn up on the history and peculiarities of the gardens and courtyards of the historical sites of universities. All information texts, edited by Licia Vignotto are published in the collection Stories of books and palaces. Discovering the cultural heritage of the University of Ferrara. On the occasion of the festival InternoVerde, which every year allows citizens and tourists to rediscover the city's green spaces, a guide is distributed with the texts of the Unife historical sites involved in the event.
